We woke up to an amazing sunrise over the lake. I grabbed my cell phone to get a photo and then decided it was worthy of pulling out the DSLR. I also decided a panoramic was needed.
A morning spent watching volleyball is always good. When it is your own daughter, it is fantastic!
When I can help out, I do some volunteer photography for the Loveland Habitat for Humanity. This was my first time at a build site, and it is pretty cool how much they can do with volunteer labor! Today Crop Production Services had a couple volunteers helping build a quadplex.
A bunch more photos are posted on my SmugMug site, in the gallery LHH - CPS Volunteers - Sept 2016
Whenever we spend time in Estes, we are bound to see some type of wildlife. Labor day was no different. (Click any image to view larger in a lightbox.)
I set up my camera outside, focused on the humming bird feeder and used a remote to trigger it from inside. It took less than 15 minutes to get the shots below.
Once again a small number of deer returned to get their own lunch. They come right up to my parents' house. The first photo with all the white spots is actually the sun reflecting off the chain-link fence in the back yard. It is a rather interesting effect.
This time, a chipmunk even held still long enough for me to grab a photo.
Everyone needs some culture, so we decided to check out Loveland's Art In The Park. I can't guarantee we got any culture, but we did get some good food.
