Cheer On!

Cheer On!

A year ago Mia joined a friend at a YMCA Cheer & Tumbling class. Immediately she was hooked and worked hard to improve her cartwheels and splits.

Watching her confidence, skills, and flexibility improve has been fun, but having her find her own thing is the best.

The video below is the performance at the Y's Healthy Kids Day.

Oreo Balls, Shaving Cream & Cartwheels for Easter

NOTE: This post is very image heavy, sorry if it is slow to load. I think the photos are worth it.

We may be developing a weird Easter habits. Last year it was photos at a Civil War Prison while this year we stopped by a old warehouse. But first Jenn & Mia made Oreo balls and colored eggs with shaving cream.

Easter morning started with baskets, and yes, even the dogs have a basket. Then it was church before we left for Alton. Of course I had to get some photos of the girls with our blooming pear tree in the background.

On our way to the grandparents' house, we stopped for more photos. Jenn even joined in.

After the egg hunt at grandma's, the girls were so excited & hopped up on chocolate that they started flipping around the yard.

The more experienced crew, simply sat and watched.

On the way home we still had the energy for one more stop & photo shoot.

Starbucks with Olivia

I'm sure she would say it is embarrassing, but I love getting photos of Olivia just having fun. Today I took a few minutes off work to spend some time with Olivia and her friend.

The photo above is my favorite, but there are a few more good ones below and all are posted in a gallery on jeffreyphoto.com.

So my daughter rescued a puppy

Mia has done a lot to come up with enough money to get her very own puppy. She sold her American Girl dolls and accessories. She has been saving her allowance. She knew she had enough to rescue  a puppy and pay for the needed supplies.

So now we have Chico as a new family member.

We came up with #Chico_pommy as his very own hashtag on Instagram

UPDATE: A couple cute photos.

Knock First!

Knock First!

Mia has had her room taped off for over a month. She recently added the orange tape, but the sign has warned people to stay out for quite some time. It reads,

Knock First!
You need an I.D. to come into Mia's room and she needs to accept it and says you can come in before you come in.

Yes, the orange tape is right in the middle of the door, requiring Mia (and anyone else) to duck in order to enter or leave the room.

Such a fun kid.
